'Let the little children come to me; do not stop them; for it is to such as these that the kingdom of God belongs."

- Mark 10:14

2019-2020 School Year

“Perpetual Help” (as the children call their “school”) began its year-round program on the campus of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church on September 23, 2015 – the Feast of Padre Pio. We currently have seven eager learners with Down Syndrome and Autism that range in age from 9 to 22.
Our Board of Directors recently completed a three-year pilot program and determined OMOPHEP to be feasible and highly successful. We are extremely proud that all of our students have grown in both intellect and maturity, in ways that seemed unimaginable to even their parents. Almost every afternoon, our teachers are apt to share a student story that is nothing short of miraculous!

The cost for school year 2019 – 2020, which is year-round with eight weeks of vacation, is $12,000.

All students are evaluated by the lead educator and our professional speech therapist to provide instruction to fit their needs. Subjects include: Religion, Math, Social Skills, Handwriting, Physical Activity, Community Based Initiative, Health Awareness, Life Skills, Science, Music and Art.
The Neiman Marcus Group through the Communities Foundation of Texas generously underwrites our weekly Art program and season tickets to the Children's Theater performances at Casa Manana. Many thanks to them for their ongoing support and faith in our program.
OMOPHEP offers speech therapy twice per week to all of our students with Marilyn Carter Rankin M.A., CCC, SLP.
